More About Dixie Chix

Dixie Chix Appliance Repair was officially opened in July of 2020, but Heather's story with appliance repair started long before that.

When Heather was 13 years old, her mother, Linda Sue Fry, went to school to become an appliance technician. Heather remembers being incredibly proud of her when she graduated. Linda was the original "Dixie Appliance Repair" — a single mother working hard, going to school, and building a skill that would later shape Heather's future.

Growing up, Heather and her siblings would watch their mother bring home appliances and take them apart. Linda would let them help, teaching Heather hands-on lessons that became the foundation of everything she knows today.

The name "Dixie Chix" came from Heather's stepfather, Timothy Fry. Between Heather and her mother, there were "two chicks from Dixie," and the name stuck. What started as a family nickname became the perfect name for a business built on hard work, family, and a legacy of repair.

Today, Heather carries that legacy forward through Dixie Chix Appliance Repair, proudly serving Lewistown and Central Montana with honest, dependable appliance repair.

"If we can fix it, we will. If we can't, we'll tell you why — and what to do next."
